Fall Chinook Salmon Season opens August 18 and runs through October 14. This year's forecast is set to deliver with 35,000-40,000 Fall Chinook passing through the Snake River basin.
Steelhead season kicks off September 1 on the Clearwater and Snake Rivers. Steelhead counts may be a little lower than last year but nearly 26,000 Steelhead are anticipated.
