Golf
Golf is a year-round sport in the Lewis Clark Valley. While the surrounding region is covered in snow, the Lewis Clark Valley residents are hitting the links just about everyday. Gather your buddies and spend a few days working on your handicap. We have four courses (one private and three public) from which to choose. And don’t forget to stop by Dave’s Golf Center, pro shop, teaching and practice facility overlooking the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake rivers. Jet Boat Tours
A must when visiting the Lewis Clark Valley (between March and November) is a jet boat trip in Hells Canyon. Jet boat captains will regale you with tales of pioneer adventures, mining lore and Nez Perce stories. The tour stops at key points along the way to view ancient petroglyphs, a shipwreck site and Kirkwood Ranch where artifacts and photographs reflecting the history of the area are housed. LEARN MORE >
Wine Tours
Learn more about the history of the wine industry in the region. From the first vines planted in the 1800s to prohibition to a newly emerged AVA region – the Lewis-Clark Valley AVA is the wine destination to watch. We are home to Pacific Northwest’s Winery and Idaho Winery of the Year. Twisted Vine Wine Tours will take you on a guided tour of Lewis-Clark Valley AVA wineries. History Buffs
Start at one of the local museums in Asotin or Lewiston to immerse yourself in the area’s history. Book a ghost tour with downtown Lewiston’s history expert, Garry Bush at Idaho History Tours. Make a stop at the Nez Perce National Historical Park to learn about the Nez Perce Tribe. Park Rangers will direct you to a myriad of historical Nez Perce sites. And as you’re exploring you can learn about our area’s most famous explorers and namesakes. There are many commemorative sites dedicated to the Lewis & Clark Expedition throughout the area. Fishing & Hunting
Few places offer the variety and accessibility of outdoor diversions that are found right in our backyard. You don’t even have to leave town to find some of the best fishing spots for trolling, spinning, bait casting and fly-fishing. Located within a few miles of the downtown areas are five public boat ramps and two marinas. The spring and summer months fast action catch is bass and trout. During the fall it is steelhead. The canyon has a healthy number of North America’s largest fresh water fish, the great white sturgeon, which can reach lengths up to 18 feet. You can’t take one home but catching one could be the highlight of your trip. LEARN MORE >
