About Natasha: “I am a PNW-based artist working primarily in pyrography, often incorporating watercolor and other medias. Drawn to the slow and sacred nature of wood burning, I hand-burn each line to create highly detailed, lifelike portraits of animals native to the area. This means absolutely no AI, lasers, or engravers are involved in my creative process.
My artwork is influenced by my childhood spent among the Idaho wilderness; forests, rivers, and rural logging towns. I aim to capture the quiet strength and intelligence of these animals, inviting viewers to pause – much like an unexpected encounter in the wild – and feel a sense of curiosity, respect and admiration.”
