Good Neighbors: Legacy of the American Chinese in Lewiston

Patricia Keith, a member of the Nez Perce County Historical Society’s Chinese Legacy Project committee and the producer/director of the 57-minute documentary Good Neighbors: Legacy of the American Chinese in Lewiston, Idaho, will introduce the film and will answer questions following.
Good Neighbors begins in the 1860s when thousands of Chinese men joined the rush to the Clearwater and Salmon River gold mines. The film continues into the present with multiple narrators telling the stories of individuals whose contributions continue to enrich our local communities. You will hear stories of hard work, courage, and friendship. Ultimately, the film is a story of good neighbors.
