Modie Park is more than just a park it is a learning environment. Complete with a butterfly garden, wetland, bird watching and other wildlife this park will connect you to nature. It all began in 1981, when Donald Modie donated 6.8 acres of land to Lewiston for the Ruth Modie Wildlife Park in honor of his wife. A nonprofit citizens group works with the Parks & Rec Department to maintain and help develop the park. This park is always a work in progress and is creating new natural spaces all the time. Bring the family and experience the natural world right in the midst of town.
